The Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Foundation, established in 1984 in New York City is the principal source of funding and counsel for the ministries of the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor around the world. Our mission exists to generate financial resources essential to sustain the worldwide programs and institutions of the Sisters. Programs target poverty, health, hunger, women's empowerment, education, and spiritual guidance for the marginalized of all faiths.
Vision
Our vision is guided by our passionate dedication to the healing mission of our Congregation. Our hope-filled vision for the future of the Foundation is that it will generate the resources needed to support ministries that promote and perpetuate the compassionate healing of people and the earth through healthcare, education and social services to those in need. The Foundation funds the programs of the Sisters in the United States, Italy, Brazil, Philippines, and Senegal.
