Earth and Environment Project (Goiania) At the Regional House, headquarters of the Brazilian Region of the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, the Sisters are developing an environment conducive to prayer, meditation and ecological concerns for the local people to enjoy. The Sisters, with the help of volunteers, also grow vegetables and raise poultry for eggs. They distribute them to local people at a low cost. The Sisters and volunteers also grow medicinal herbs, a way of helping the ill who come to them for service. Needs: Funding for gardening supplies and materials
